Job Description

The main purpose of this job is senior technical expert responsibility for design and implementation of an assigned technology.

Coming from a monolithic application landscape as baseline, Deutsche Telekom IT is applying selected Greenfield approaches to break down legacy backend landscape in order to modernize into EU wide, cloud native, decoupled and scalable IT environment. High quality Software and System architectural skills are needed to drive this transformation. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The ICT / System BackEnd Architect

• takes over responsibility for future development and transformation of application landscape
• defines needed or recommend software and infrastructure optimizations to ensure reliability, availability, robustness, security and performance of the software in operations based on customer requirements or company strategy
• is accountable for definition of non-functional requirements (NFRs) & enabling automation and drive technological innovation
• guides break down of monolithic applications to de/loosely-coupled microservices interconnected via Rest APIs, migration from CMO (Current Mode of Operation) to cloud leveraging cloud-agnostic strategies
• helps teams with its implementation and ensures that Architectural guidelines are followed on team level
• collaborates with various stakeholders (teams, architects, management, customer) to communicate, present and convince, and thus enable IT transformation

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

You have a university degree with emphasis in Computer Science or Information Systems or a comparable qualification and profit from multiple years professional experience in IT architecture.

Additionally, you possess the following knowledge and hands-on:

• AWS, GCP, server-less
• Kubernetes, microservice Back-end 
• OIDC & OAuth 2.0
• Restful API
• Event-Driven Architecture / Domain-Driven Architecture
• Kafka
• Java, Spring boot
• CI/CD
• TMforum standars

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will vary and will not be lower than 2050 - 3100 € /brutto.
