IFC's CDIDF office is seeking anintern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global InternshipProgram (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposedto the mission and work of the IFC and the broader World Bank Group and becomepart of the largest private sector development institution in the world. Theprogram encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideasto IFC's work while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulatingenvironment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a uniqueopportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionalsdedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developingworld.

The Internship period will be between June 2023- September 2023.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Core Project: Research

Support CDIDF specialists in measuring the ex-post development outcomes of IFC's portfolio in the funds and disruptive technology sectors. Such support may include:

• Assist in the preparation of case studies, impact briefs, reports, and evaluations • Conduct and/or support economic research on the topics of disruptive technology and private equity • Contribute to data cleaning, wrangling, and conducting econometric analysis on large enterprise datasets • Perform desk-based research to gather evidence on different topics relevant to measuring the impact of IFC's portfolio • Support the preparation of briefs, reports, and presentations to various stakeholders

Secondary Project: Monitoring and Results Measurement

Support CDIDF in its annual monitoring and results management exercise to work with IFC's portfolio team and clients to understand their development impact. Such support may include:

• Data collection and portfolio monitoring of core development outcomes articulated in ex-ante AIMM assessments • Liaising with IFC's portfolio team and clients for data collection and resolving any issues around reporting and data quality • Building databases on the development outputs and outcomes of CDF's portfolio • Conduct regular updates of databases pertaining to the impact measurement and monitoring of IFC's portfolio

Selection Criteria

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master' s degree level program with an expected graduation dateafter December 1st, 2023,to be eligible. • Field of study, Master's in Business Administration (MBA); specializing in Finance, Economics & Computer Science • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in R / Stata, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Need someone with some experience in quant or data science roles and some exposure to the finance or development sector beyond coursework.
