IFC's Blended Finance unit isseeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). TheGlobal Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals anopportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader WorldBank Group and become part of the largest private sector developmentinstitution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectivesand innovative ideas to IFC's work, while improving skills in a diverse andhighly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Programprovides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with internationalprofessionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity inthe developing world.

The Internship period will be between May 2023- September 2023.

Duties and Accountabilities:

• Assist in regular data collection, verification exercise to maintain the internal database on Blended Finance-supported IFC transactions, including extraction of data points from Blended Finance Committee review documents, the investment approval papers for the IFC's Board of Directors (the Board papers), legal agreements, and any other relevant project documentation. • Assess the alignment of disclosure and transparency procedures across IFC's active blended finance portfolio, by reviewing key project documents including the public Summary of Investment Information, the Board papers, etc. Help create and maintain a database on transparency measurements for the active portfolio of Blended finance. • Assist in streamlining the production of periodic internal reports, using simple excel VBA (or equivalent data software) to automate key parts of data collection and cleaning process. • Support the development of data analysis using the operational data on Blended Finance; examples include the calculation of leverage in blended finance portfolio by instrument, and/or tracking the latest results of blended finance supported projects against the initial targets.

Selection Criteria

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Masters' degree level program with expected graduation dateafter December 1st, 2023in order to be eligible. • Field of study: Business Administration and Finance • At least 3 years of previous work experience including at least 1-year relevant experience in development and/or international business. • Keen interests and experience in conducting data collection, verification, and analysis on key issues in Blended finance. Willingness to learn new topics. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage large and complex datasets for analysis. Excel VBA skills a plus. • Excellent oral and written presentation skills in English are required.
