Image Scientist - TS/SCI
KBR is seeking an Image Scientist to work as a member of a multi-discipline team that supports various government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area in the areas of photogrammetry, computer vision, remote sensing, and statistical analysis.
Responsibilities/Job Function:
- Assist the government in the design and integration of new processing and exploitation technologies and methodologies in the support of GEOINT Missions.
- Assist the government in the technical oversight of one or more development contractors creating new storage, dissemination, and exploitation formats and methods for various types of electro-optical data.
- Assist in the testing, evaluation, and comparison of new geospatial collection and processing systems.
- Technical assistance in the development of new standards for geospatial data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. Image science, computer vision, electrical engineering, computer science, math, or other engineering) or equivalent experience in image analysis and image science.
- At least five (5 +) years experience supporting electro-optical (EO) programs including PAN, MSI, HSI.
- Knowledge and experience in the entire Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination lifecycle of EO datasets.
- Background in Remote Sensing and its Applications for GEOINT
- Experience working in the DoD/IC
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the GWG standards development process.
- Senior-level experience (12+ years) in image science or expert level experience as an image analyst,
- Experience processing geospatial data in a cloud environment
- Experience and willingness to provide programmatic support desired, but not required.
