Immigration Program Support Analyst
Job Description
BlackRock is seeking an Immigration Program Support Analyst as a member of our Global Immigration Team, to help shape the global immigration experience for our businesses and most importantly, our employees. Our Global Immigration Team sits under Human Resources, with regional teams in the U.S., Europe and Asia, and manages employment-sponsored work/residency permits for employees in over 30 countries. This role will be part of our Americas regional team, located in the firm's Princeton, NJ office.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with business immigration concepts, with experience in operations, project management, and process oversight and maintenance. Key responsibilities of the role include providing on-site administrative support and coordination of various employment- based visa processes and serving as the primary point of contact for hiring managers, employees, HR teams and external counsel regarding immigration matters. To be successful in this role, candidates should be detail-oriented, have experience in a high-volume atmosphere, and have strong organizational and communication skills. They will be able to handle a demanding case load, and accommodate unanticipated spikes in caseload and maintain flexibility under pressure. This role will evolve as the Immigration Team and solutions progress in their evolution to align with the needs of the firm. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible and able to manage day-to-day tasks, while also demonstrating agility to help identify and implement operational improvements and provide strategic insights. The Ideal candidate has an exceptional client service mindset, is self-motivated, analytical, and enjoys a team-oriented atmosphere.
Job Description
- Act as primary intake point for immigration visas sponsored by the firm, responsible for gathering required information, data and documents, and coordinating submission of case details to external immigration counsel
- Serve as point of contact for employees, businesses, human resources partners and external counsel relating to inquiry management
- Record and track immigration visa case milestones and monitor external immigration counsel's delivery of service against performance standards
- Manage governance of U.S. PERM program requirements and immigration program records retention to ensure regulatory compliance for employer-sponsored visas;
- Provide support on other regulatory requirements, including right to work checks and I-9 audits
- Maintain process documents (standard operating and desktop procedures) for immigration program
- Provide operational support including preparation and delivery of regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects to improve processes and overall employee/candidate/business experience
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume HR or Immigration Services/law firm environment working with confidential data and handling sensitive matters
- Familiarity with business immigration concepts; (familiarity with U.S. immigration concepts preferred)
- Strong skills in Workday, Excel (proficient in analyzing datasets in Excel) and PowerPoint is required
- Strong client service and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Attention to detail, accuracy, process-oriented and organized
- Analytical skills
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated Project Management experience
- Experience with inquiry management and HCM platforms, preferably ServiceNow and Workday
