Implementation Engineer

Q2 is seeking an Implementation Engineer to be responsible for implementing Q2’s Online Account Opening Solution to align with the business requirements of our customers. You will be exposed to a highly customizable product on multiple platforms that are configured/engineered differently for each customer. The Implementation Engineer will work on a pod of engineers, collaborating daily with a project delivery team. Additionally, they will work with Product Management and Development teams to keep apprised of additions and changes to the broad set of options. The successful candidate must be technically savvy, exceptionally detail-oriented, and an energetic self-starter who can work independently and in a group setting. This role will occasionally interface directly with clients to manage questions and issues during a project. This work is performed out of our Implementations Solution Center in Austin, Lincoln, or remote and does not require travel. This implementation group primarily handles implementations for new clients and projects can be both long term and short term.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement portions of the platform per client specifications
• Work with a project delivery team to ensure on-time delivery of technical configurations per the established program timeline
• Problem-solve routine to complex issues
• Track status and provide updates in relation to implementation cases
• Provide Level 2 and 3 support to other team members
• Create and implement tools that increase quality, security and productivity 
• Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
• Work closely Project and Product Delivery to ensure client satisfaction is met and enhancements are incorporated in go-forward planning

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

The below technical requirements or not necessarily all required but are a part of the job expectation to learn. A mixture is favorable.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Requires 2+ years of related work experience using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Requires 2+ years of experience with Python or other scripting languages. Experience with SQL database a plus
• Network troubleshooting skills required, experience with NOMAD deployments and Vault a plus
• Fintech or other financial services industry experience
• Configuration and deployment experience with Web Services in a cloud environment
• Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile platforms 
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills for problem solving
• Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent people and teamwork skills
• The ability to remain calm, diplomatic, and cooperative under stressful conditions
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including communication of technical concepts to non-technical individuals
