Job Summary:

The ERP Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering a successful ERP implementation project using Odoo. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met, timelines are adhered to, and deliverables are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate project resources, tasks, and activities to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues or risks. Report out delays and current trajectory versus the plan; create solutions to expedite the timelines if the project falls behind.
• Determine the resources required to complete each scope and objective of the plan, and work with the team to identify any gaps in internal resourcing. Develop mitigation strategies and solutions to create internal bandwidth or bring in external resources to keep the project on timeline while being mindful of the overall costs and budget.
• Responsible for developing, managing, and refining the ERP project budget, and managing all outside resources and related spend.
• Travel on-site to meetings, operation start-ups, and supplier meetings as required.
• Draft a budget for implementation to meet the established timeline.

Communication and Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships by providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Gather requirements, understand business processes, and tailor Odoo solutions to meet the needs.
• Manage the meeting cadence, work management tools and system, and develop documentation and reporting to ensure the entire team is on the same page.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor project teams, including functional consultants, developers, and analysts.
• Assign tasks, set clear goals, and provide guidance and support to team members. Develop a methodology for clear task management with the team and take the time to ensure each team-member fully understands their responsibility and deliverables.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Odoo ERP Configuration:

• Work closely with technical and functional teams to configure and customize Odoo ERP to align with requirements.
• Ensure data migration, integration, and testing are executed effectively.
• Conduct system testing and quality assurance to validate the ERP solution.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

• Provide end-user training and ensure a smooth transition to the new ERP system.
• Promote knowledge transfer within the organization for sustainable system usage.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and documentation of system configurations.
• Prepare and present project reports to management and steering committee.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices in ERP implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in a product implementation context.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects from planning to execution.
• Experience with project management software tools such as Asana or Trello.
• PMP certification is a plus.
