IMPLEMENTATION SCIENCE SPECIALIST

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join the Montefiore Health System as an Implementation Science Specialist. You will get to play a pivotal role in building implementation science capacities across Montefiore's many hospitals in the Bronx and Westchester by bridging the gap between research and practice. You will contribute to applying established implementation science methodologies to improve patient outcomes and advance healthcare delivery by managing the planning, execution, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions and programs and collaborate with key leaders and multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and administrators.

Position located in Yonkers but work can be done remotely with regular visits to Montefiore's hospitals in Bronx and Westchester.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and apply evidence-based implementation strategies to facilitate the adoption and integration of best practices, interventions, and programs into clinical workflows.
• Build institutional capacity to evaluate implemented interventions in order to assess their efficacy, utilizing appropriate implementation science tools and data analysis techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate trends in implementation science, such as the use of artificial intelligence and health informatics, to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Assess existing implementation science and practice knowledge, skills, and infrastructure at each of Montefiore's existing hospitals and campuses.
• Collaborate with and support multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and administrators to identify effective health interventions and opportunities for improvement.
• Convene thought leaders from across Montefiore Health System to cross-pollinate ideas and overcome barriers to adoption, fostering a culture of change and innovation.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to health system leadership, funding agencies, and the scholarly community.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

Familiarity with implementation science frameworks and methodologies.

Master's Degree required (Healthcare, organizational science, or related)

Four years experience.

Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis.

Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate with colleagues in other departments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences effectively.

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, fostering collaboration and building relationships across unit boundaries.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications as needed.

This is a grant funded position.
