Implementation Specialist
Job Description
The Implementation Specialist will provide support and technical guidance to brokers, wholesalers and business contacts regarding new business for Benefit Consultants Group. Coordinate the on-boarding of new business by working with advisors, plan sponsors, retirement providers and key partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, acting as a source of support while at the same time maintaining objectivity and adhering to the terms of BCG's regulations
- Provide implementation support to brokers, wholesalers and business contacts through written and verbal communications
- Proactively manage the implementation pipeline for the on-boarding of new plans
- Understand and review provisions made available in applicable plan documentation
- Responsible for the scheduling of blackout dates, liquidation dates when applicable
- Coordinate enrollment procedure
- Stay current with changes regarding IRS and DOL rules & regulations, as it pertains to implementation process
- Coordinate/communicate with custodial partners through the implementation process
- Grow relationships with key partners through service delivery
- Maintain a training & development program and schedule
- Resolve employee grievances and submit personnel issues to Human Resources for action if necessary
- Assist brokers, wholesalers and plan sponsors with plan design
- Handle special projects, tasks and requests as needed
Reqirements:
- Series 6 or 7 license (preferred but not required)
- College degree and/or ASPA credentials preferred
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2 to 4 years equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate technical information to all levels of management with clarity
- Retirement Industry experience Knowledge of IRS and DOL rules and regulations
- Excellent organization and analytical skills
- Ability to update workflows and understand the Feith system
- Relius knowledge preferred
