Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed across North America, with more than 40 office locations in the U.S. and Canada. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States; if you're near one of our offices and want to work in-office, we can set that up, or this role can be 100% remote. You must be eligible to work in the United States in order to qualify for this role.

What You'll Do:

As the Implementation Project Manager, you will be a critical member of our operation / services team. You will be involved in every aspect of the customer onboarding and solution delivery process. You will be responsible for delivering successful SaaS software implementation solutions; working with our internal technical teams, in addition to customer stakeholders, to ensure on time, on budget and high-quality project delivery; meeting customer expectations while protecting the integrity of the software platform. To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Manage multiple customer implementations simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Have a proven ability in applying project management standards & best practices to drive project results, while ensuring a best- in-class customer experience.
  • Using tack and diplomacy, demonstrate mastery in setting and managing expectations; customer as well as internal.
  • Facilitate regular project team meetings including meetings with internal team members and customer stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to effectively ensure successful execution of the project plan and deliver a quality project.
  • Support the performance of defining project scope and requirements (i.e., business analysis).
  • Act as a liaison between customers, application engineering, data specialists and software engineers to define software custom configuration requirements and write detailed business requirement documentation.
  • Work with internal staff to develop project plans.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation such as project plans, Gantt charts, Communication plans, implementation guides, etc.
  • Maintain internal company project tracking system for each assigned project(s).
  • Coordinate set-up of preproduction environment and develop and execute test plans.
  • Assist customers in acceptance testing, developing procedures, and updating documentation.
  • Oversee the investigation, review and resolution of client-escalated issues as required.
  • Follow established change control process to manage overall project scope.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate technical issues and resolve problems/conflicts at all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional groups to accomplish goals.
  • Be comfortable in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous work situations. Strong initiative, keen attention to detail, and complex problem-solving abilities from operational and technical perspective.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of software implementation project management in an external customer facing role
  • BA or BS in relevant field or equivalent prior work experience and training
  • Demonstrate success in project management using recognized PMI methodologies
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Demonstrate ability to present project status, results etc. to senior level management
  • Strong logic and critical-thinking ability; experience and creativity in troubleshooting business process and software problems
  • Technical aptitude to learn software and technology quickly in a fast-changing environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Highly desired background:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification;
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and technical project management is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform capabilities and/or implementation;
  • Experience in a startup-like environment (unstructured, ambiguous, resource constrained, fast paced);
  • Knowledge of home improvement industry or similar businesses;
  • Sense of humor;
