Job Description

Operations role responsible for managing all inbound freight processes. This includes but is not limited to Shipment Tracking, Issue resolution, and delivery of complete freight to the CFS team. This includes close coordination with Expeditors CFS partners, and Expeditor’s air/ocean import product members. Strong focus on customs in bond requirement is essential for the success of this role.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Personnel: 

• Assist supervisors and key staff with goal setting.
• Support weekly department meetings and daily huddles with the team.
• Meet company standards of 52 hours of training per year, including management/leadership training as needed.

Operations:

• Tracking and Tracing of all Air and Ocean LCL shipments
• Managing of splits/partial arrivals
• Managing flight and shipment arrivals
• CFS transfer
• Issue resolution
  • Partial shipments
  • Short arrivals
  • Overage
  • Damage
  • Cargo unable to locate
  • PNC filing
  • General issues that arise between truckers and CFS
  • AMS discrepancies
  •  IT issues
• Daily review and management of automation scripts/reporting
• Continuous improvement mentality at all times
• Capture, monitor and improve key productivity measurements* 
• Adherence to and incremental improvement in operational and KPI areas, such as:
  • COB updates
  • Timely update of ETA, EMD, EDD, EDU
  • Timely updates of Container Activities (CUV and COT)
  •  Manage Splits (SPL)
  • Timely update and management of Freight Arrivals (ANR, AMD, ADU, ADD)
  • Timely resolution of Partials (PSL), Shortage (SHT), Overage (OVR), Damage (DMG)
  • Timely update of Cargo at CFS (AFS)
  • Timely customer service 
  • Adherence to all GBO Lateral expectation
• Superior customer service to the EI network
• Communication to all parties on operational issues. Ie.. CFS backlogs, delays due to truck capacity, weather delays etc.
• Health, safety and security mindset at all times

Finance:

• Monitor/manage/record all applicable fees related to destination activities*
• Expo Accounting – Payable functions related to Vendor costs (truckers/CFS/Supplies/misc.) 
• CFS cost management – drive efficiency resulting in lower cost per weight and per shipment
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related work.
• Minimum 3 years Expeditors or industry experience
• Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to type at minimum: 40wpm.

• Completion of Expeditors In bond Compliance PDC courses
