Inbound Marketing Manager/Director
Job Description
Lightspeed is on a mission to help K-12 communities provide safe, secure, and equitable education. As our inbound marketing expert, you’ll lead our thought leadership and inbound marketing strategies to introduce district leaders to Lightspeed and how their students can benefit. Protecting more students is our shared goal and your contribution will show in site traffic, MQLs, and pipeline.
Part art and part science, this role requires creative thinking to drive a magnetic, results-focused strategy and the discipline for top-notch project management. In this role, you will:
- Own our thought-leadership program: Direct the development, contribute to the writing, and manage an ed cal of high-quality content that asserts Lightspeed as a thought-leader in K-12 education, especially as it relates to security, safety, and learning equity. Work with our PR team to make heroes of our clients and showcase the expertise of our internal team.
- Own our inbound strategy: After auditing our existing strategy, develop a stronger, more scalable, results-focused inbound strategy to attract qualified buyers and drive pipeline. Clearly communicate near-term and long-term priorities with leadership and advocate for the resources necessary for success.
- Create and execute the plan: Turn lofty goals and your strategy into digestible project plans that march toward success on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Execute the thought leadership and inbound components of our multichannel marketing approach including blog posts, social media, review sites, etc. Roll up your sleeves for writing, research, and more to ensure the job is done on schedule and with wow-worthy results.
- Manage performance of inbound marketing: Establish early, mid, and lagging KPIs to manage performance and ensure success. Regularly update leadership on progress to goals, opportunities to go faster, and needs to pivot.
- Commit to continuous improvement: Take a data-driven, test-and-learn approach for continuous improvement of this new and emerging strategy for the business. Educate team members on their role in a successful inbound strategy and how it can help achieve our overall lead, pipeline and revenue goals.
This role reports to the Vice President of Marketing.
ABOUT YOU
What You Need to Have
- Stellar written communication and project management skills
- Understanding of Google Analytics/GA4 and other KPIs to drive strategy
- Willingness and ability to own strategy and project plans and drive them forward
- Thorough understanding and practical application of the buyer’s journey
- Analytical approach to decision-making and prioritization
- Strong work ethic; positive, go-getter attitude; and comfort in fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly take what you’ve learned and apply it in new situations
- Passionate about improving safety, security, and equity in education
Nice to Have
- Hubspot Inbound Marketing certification
- 5+ years of inbound/digital marketing experience
- Experience in B2B marketing, especially for SaaS and/or K-12
