Job Summary
Rain’s Sales Development Representative/Business Development Representative (SDR/BDR) program develops people to execute on the very best standards of software as as service (SaaS) outbound pipeline building with a view to ultimately promote them into quota-carrying sales roles. If you are looking for a rapidly changing and growing software company with the opportunity to launch your career in SaaS, this is it!
The BDR acts as a brand ambassador and is often the first line of communication with a new prospective customer. You will be responsible for calling outbound prospecting lists of prospective clients and passing them to the appropriate sales representative while delivering high quality customer service to prospective clients.
We are looking for someone who possesses excellent communication and analytical skills and should be ready to contribute to a variety of programs at any given time. If you have the right mindset, we will teach you everything you need to be successful.

What you will do
- Learn the various industries we serve and the customer personas within each respective industry vertical
- Call through lists of prospects to introduce the value propositions of Rain and identify opportunities for the Account Executives to follow up
- Learn how to anticipate and prepare for objections
- Accurately record communication with current and potential customers in salesforce.com
- Align yourself to achieving the goals of the sales team by understanding the importance of efficient and effective lead management
- Commit to the ongoing training program to prepare yourself for the next role
What you will bring
- Either a Bachelor’s Degree education or management level experience in the retail sector
- A desire to learn best practices for the purpose of building a career in software sales
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Interest in technology
- Personal integrity
Pay Range: 40k base + 24k OTV
