Job Description

This is a position that provides a personalized blend of IHS services that focus on the support and skill development a person needs to maintain and/or increase their independence. Staff will work in both community and in-home settings. Staff will work with multiple person-served and will need a reliable vehicle to drive to and from shifts and be able to transport the person-served. 

In this position you will have the opportunity to: 

• Assist individuals in a 1:1 in-home setting as you support them in pursuing a happy, healthy, and more independent life. 

• Provide skill development in areas including but not limited to: community participation, health, safety and wellness, household management and adaptive skills. 

• Attend team meetings, write progress reports, and assist supervisors in maintaining consistency in service provision and communication with support team members. 

• Create lasting, positive impacts on peoples’ lives through coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals. 

• Full time and part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• Associates in relevant field OR two years equivalent experience in working with developmentally disabled and/or mental illness, as determined by the supervisor.

• Must be at least 18 years old 

• High school diploma or GED 

• Adept in the use of technology and possess a smart device with adequate data

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record 

• Possess a reliable vehicle to transport residents as needed 

• Current personal auto liability insurance
