India Site Leader, Head of Engineering, IndiaÂ
Vectra AI is looking for a Director, Engineering to lead our site in India. This role wil manage and lead the engineering teams in India while driving innovation, and ensuring technical strategies align with business goals. As the Head of Engineering in India, you will be responsible for 3 key components: operations, technology and leadership.Â
  OperationsÂ
- Responsible for budgets, people development, and operations, including managing and leading teams, coaching and mentoring.Â
TechnologyÂ
- Responsible for technical strategy, roadmap planning, and collaboration on product plans. Â
LeadershipÂ
- Responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop technology strategies.Â
- Recruit and directly manage software development team; initially ~10 application engineers but with the expectation to grow. Â
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations in IndiaÂ
- Represent Vectra in India for operations, engineering and support.. Build the brand among and attract, develop and retain great employees, who thrive working in innovative, user-focused, fast paced environment.Â
- Work with product management to help define engineering requirements Â
- Participate in architecture discussions and guide the technical direction of the team.Â
- Ensure smooth delivery of software with automated tests in a modern CI toolchainÂ
- Ensure software quality and security through review processesÂ
- Align technical solutions with customer needs and business goalsÂ
- Articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and fostering a collaborative environment Â
- Drive the cost efficiency of the center, maximizing the India team's throughput & productivity and focus on the inclusive culture of the companyÂ
- Foster a culture of continuous growth and improvement through coaching, mentoring, feedback and clear measurable outcomes.Â
- Hold the teams to high standards across multiple disciplines including engineering, support & operationsÂ

Qualifications and ExperienceÂ
- 10+ years of related industry experienceÂ
- 5+ years of technical management experience Â
- Excellent people, technical and communication skills. Ability to relate across multiple levels and across cultures.Â
- Business and product mindset. Ability to identify, evaluate and convey engineering and technology choices and trade-offs.Â
- Ability to understand technology to translate data into key business metrics and decision making. Â
- BS or MS in Computer Science/EngineeringÂ
- Experience as a scrum master in an Agile environmentÂ
- Understanding of architecture and experience with REST APIs, databases, and other common technologiesÂ
- Unix/Linux proficiencyÂ
- Experience with a source control system, preferably GitÂ
- Strong cloud knowledge, preferably AWSÂ
