Indirect Tax Analyst

Lime’s Global Tax Team is hiring an Indirect Tax Analyst! Reporting to the Senior Indirect Tax Manager you will learn about the micro-mobility industry while building cross-functional relationships to help improve tax processes as we continue to grow and scale our operations.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring global tax compliance while evangelizing automation and process improvements within the Finance organization. You will work across multiple jurisdictions on various tax aspects utilizing technology tools to streamline efficiency and accuracy. This is a fully remote US Based position. The individual hired for this position must be comfortable working in a remote setting and should be based on the West Coast of the United States for collaboration purposes.

What you'll do:

• Assist with preparation and review of monthly North American and APAC indirect tax filings.

• Assist with preparation and review of annual US property tax 1099 and business tax filings.

• Utilize Alteryx to generate tax workpapers and ensure tax and financial statement reporting are aligned.

• Manage external tax audits and reverse audits.

• Research and interpret complex tax issues to improve internal tax processes and communicate issues and solutions to non-tax stakeholders.

• Enable technology adoption across the Finance organization and liaise with internal stakeholders to launch process improvements and new products.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of US indirect tax experience. Knowledge of VAT and/or GST is a plus.

• Public accounting experience preferred.

• Beginner or intermediate level Alteryx knowledge.

• Experience with ERP systems (preferably Netsuite) and tax engines (preferably Vertex) is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy while understanding the importance of elevating questions/concerns timely.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68000 - $80000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence. In addition to base salary some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance employee performance and management discretion.
