Indirect Tax Manager

We are expanding our Tax Department! We have a position open for an Indirect Tax Manager. This position will be responsible for managing our international (outside of US) day-to-day tax operations, including indirect tax compliance, and assisting with other ad hoc projects. Initial focus will be EU and UK and then expand to Australia, Asia, LAM, etc.
This role is Hybrid, in office 30 days per quarter.
Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage third-party vendor in the preparation, filing, and payment of all international transactions tax returns (VAT, GST, etc.) including providing data, invoice review, pre-filing reviews, and reconciliation of all global transaction tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with international tax law by staying up to date with transaction tax law changes, reviewing and setting up of customer exemptions, and maintenance of taxability of the company's product and services.
• Work with internal and third-party software programmers related to tax calculations in a home-grown billing environment to ensure the accurate calculation, collection, and payment of transaction taxes.
• Coordinate international indirect tax audits, including the preparation of responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Research international tax issues and effectively communicate tax implications.
• Assist with special projects such as global expansion, M&A transactions, internal system implementations.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation is required
• A Master's degree and/or Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification is preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a corporate tax department, consulting role, or a mix of both
• Experience managing international indirect tax compliance requirements and related processes for a large multi-national telecommunications/technology company
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional business partners at all levels and strong oral and written communication skills

If you are hired in California or Colorado the compensation range for this position is up to $160,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
