SHEIN is hiring the Industrial Engineering Director for IE Team based in Seattle. The IE team is a group of operational leaders driving process and operational system optimization, layout design, automation, and continuous improvement for the US Fulfillment Network. This team is essential to establish best in class network performance across all process paths, accelerate implementation of technological advancements and to strengthen the technical acumen and process knowledge for the operational leaders across the FC network. As SHEIN US continues to rapidly grow the FC footprint and infuse the organization with new talent, we need to ensure the operations teams are equipped with the functional expertise to successfully deliver expected gains for technology advances and network wide process improvements. The team would drive process control and shifting mean performance with the outcome of minimizing variation between shifts, building and region, to deliver strong operation performance. The team will work closely with the Site Operations, Product, Planning and Operation Management team to improve the input metrics for each of the process paths by prioritizing and channeling resources to address gaps in these input metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the warehouse automation planning and excellent execution; Understand the pros and cons of various automation solutions in the industry, analyze warehouse business data and apply to the warehouse automation planning;
2. Co-operate with third party agency for warehouse onsite design, process&layout optimization and warehouse equipment procurement; familiar with warehouse automation equipment and the corresponding mode of operation, able to realize the output and review of planning drawings according to the properties of the equipment;
3. Explore new equipment, new processes and new models for implementation by thinking creatively based on the pain points in operation;
4. Familiar with the dispatching operation of warehouse group, understand the storage mode, operation mode in the warehouse and corresponding operation equipment and materials of various commodities of different weights, sizes or categories, and to plan the allocation and cooperation mode of commodities of different businesses, goods handover and required materials and equipment between multiple warehouses with business analysis.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree or above, preferably majoring in logistics engineering, logistics management, mechanical engineering, IE, etc;
2. 6+ years of relevant work experiences in warehouse planning, design and implementation in top E-commerce companies; With excellent project management experiences in planning more than 100,000 square meters warehouse or independently completed 20 million and above equipment projects is preferred;
3. Skilled in warehouse infrastructure, electricity, network and other engineering needs, with the ability to design warehouse layouts, to complete planning solutions, drawing layout diagrams, listing equipment details and budget;
4. Able to analyze data and output the corresponding operation processes from the operational data;
5. Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up; Works well under pressure with the ability to prioritize competing deliverables;
6. Strong people partnership skills with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams;
7. Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Pay: $120,000.00 min. - $230,000.00 max annually, plus, bonus & RSU offered.
