Job Statement:
The principal responsibilities of this position are to ensure that the processes are maintained in a preventive fashion to ensure optimum reliability and up time. This position troubleshoots processes and has the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems associated with process equipment. This position is also responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment such as replacing pumps, motors, drives, controls and other components deemed necessary. The position requires safe use of lift trucks, hand tools, power tools and following all safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and etc.
Job Specifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Minimum of 5 years maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
3. Must have a proven electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot PLC’s, relays, starts, overloads, I/O cards, encoders, switches, photo eyes, motors and other electrical components.
4. Use of digital meters for troubleshooting such as voltmeters, ohmmeters etc.
5. Working knowledge of air valves, cylinders, actuators etc.
6. Some mechanical experience preferred.
7. Must be computer literate.
8. Must be a self-starter and be able to meet attendance expectations.
9. Ability to communicate effectively.
10. Must have a cooperative attitude, necessary to work effectively with others.
11. Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
12. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
13. Willingness to work overtime when needed.
14. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
15. Ability to obtain a forklift license.
16. Must be detail oriented.
Essential Duties:
The primary duties of the employee are but not limited to the following.
1. Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
2. Daily, weekly, monthly and semi-annual maintenance of following components using our ISO log sheets. Compressors, drier, slitter line, extruders, chiller, and others as deemed necessary.
3. Daily inspection of 3 forklifts per OSHA standards
4. Learn and understand all production equipment to help maintain, troubleshoot and repair as needed.
5. Police and transport all disposable cardboard and plastic to the recycle containers
6. Dump scrap metal hoppers and slit edge scrap in outside scrap container.
7. Monitor and maintain chemical dispenser area
8. Assist with repairs, overhauls, and new builds of production machines
9. Monitor and dispose of shop air compressor condensation
10. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
11. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned
12. Assist with cleaning office windows, carpet, and tile if called upon
13. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
14. Replace washers, faucets, and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair leaky faucets, toilets, clear clogged drains, and replace light bulbs.
15. Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company guidelines.
16. Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.
17. Assure all company policies and procedures are followed.
