Industrial Security Specialist

Job Summary
As a member of the Personnel Security team, you will be responsible for the administration and compliance of personnel security tasks. You will support the corporation in meeting mission requirements by ensuring all security clearances, visits and reporting are properly processed to government customers. You will provide on-site support for all security actions in accordance with corporate and governmental polices and directives.
Work Model
Onsite: This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processes both incoming/outgoing DOD & SCI visit requests and reports incidents to government customers.
- Maintain and update cleared visitor list for cleared areas
- Administers, executes, and ensures adherence to company and government regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the protection of government programs.
- Conducts security indoctrination briefings and debriefings.
- Assists in designing, implementing, and conducting security training, briefings, and education programs.
- Working on various complex government and internal databases.
- Processes security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations, provides guidance on the completion of security paperwork, conducts fingerprinting, and tracks all clearance submissions.
- Maintains security records, tracking and metrics.
- Provides management with clearance status reports.
- Interface with government customers, contractors, employees, and all levels of management.
- Handles Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and must possess discretion in handling PII.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements Level III:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and typically, 5 years of experience.
- Current DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, be detailed oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations. Must work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of government security regulations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of handling sensitive but unclassified information.
- Be customer service orientated and able to multitask.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Minimum Requirements Level IV:
- All of the requirements of a Level III in addition to typically, 10 years of experience.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college
- Active TS clearance or SCI access
- Knowledge of DISS, SCT, Scattered Castles or SIMS databases.
- FSO Management Certification
We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
(Min - Mid - Max)
$31.25 - $39.66 - $48.08
Pay Basis: Hourly
