As the advanced industrialization engineer, you will lead global platform industrialization and coordinate activities cross-functionally across multiple regions. In this role, you will:
- Drive innovation in manufacturing and supply chain processes at the local/Americas level
- Support the new product introduction team with ideas, new manufacturing technologies and processes and will ensure that similar processes are implemented across the global regions (Eg, test equipment, fixtures, torque tools)
- Proactively solicit feedback from our plants, manufacturing partners and suppliers to optimize cost and efficiency (including product cost, inventory, shipping, storage)
- Partner with our global platform leader members to source, refine, and track cost of global platform elements
- Lead all activities regarding cost estimates and supplier quotes, expediting of samples, looking for alternatives suppliers, ensuring dual sourcing is developed. Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and engineering in the supplier development process
- Coordinate with global category managers and regional supply chain managers development of the supply base, introduction of new suppliers, supplier quality audits, supplier capability assessments
- Report monthly on cost and will work with the design team to ensure target costs are delivered.
- Ensure labor estimates are developed early in the project and constantly refined (innovation in assembly)
- Develop prototype suppliers and ensuring fast prototyping
- Collaborate with supply chain on sourcing activities for an identified product platform
- Work with OPEX and Operations leader to develop strategic manufacturing and footprint plans for any new product platforms
- Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives for new product development, existing product lines and manufacturing sites, and suppliers
- Engage the Business Units, Design Engineering, Operations and other Engineering functions to ensure the effective and on-time launch into Manufacturing within budget with the highest levels of product quality and supply chain teams.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience with new product introductions and/or design of new manufacturing lines
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship both now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understand fabrication and assembly processes, key supplier and internal customer processes (Sheet metal fabrication, injection molded plastics, wire harnessing, pcba fabrication, flow assembly, inventory management)
- Experience in designing products to meet UL safety requirements and working with UL for certification
- Experience with shop floor control processes and technology (barcoding, product/process traceability).
- Degrees or specialties in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Job Criteria:
- Ability to work cross-functionally with global teams, both internally and externally
- Knowledge of current technologies in manufacturing, engineering, materials management/inventory control, distribution, and logistics, purchasing, quality assurance systems processes and practices.
- Strong collaborative skills with the proven ability to drive change and leadership ownership / accountability.
- An active change agent who is willing to take an appropriate amount of risk
- An individual with a strong sense of urgency; is self-directing and self-motivating
