Our Enterprise Systems team is hiring a Birst Analyst to provide reporting dashboards that visualize internal data and empower decision-making at Precision Medicine Group. Your support of our expanding enterprise systems implementation and technological solutions will enable our teams to progress on their mission of improving human health.

About You:

  • You love using data to build reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help teams make key decisions.
  • You have 1+ years of experience using a Business Intelligence Suite of tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos) and an understanding of the backend Data Warehouse (SQL).
  • You enjoy working with business users to gather requirements for KPIs and key intake points.
  • You possess a bachelor’s degree in information systems, business management, or a similar field.

About The Role:

As a Birst Analyst you will provide reports, metrics, models, scorecards, and dashboards by transforming various functional requirements from different subject areas into stories and insights that drive business value and decision-making. You will design and develop ETL solutions using data integration tools for interfacing between source application and the Enterprise Data Warehouse to convert source tables into analytically ready data. You will also gather and convert functional requirements, KPIs, and analytical needs to a dimensional model design with facts and dimensions.

You will work with the data analysis team to assess and troubleshoot potential data quality issues at key intake points and assist in the maintenance of data integrity by conducting regular audits. As a Birst Analyst, you will also conduct and participate in unit, integration, regression, and acceptance testing. Along with the task of data validation processes to ensure accuracy of reporting data.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business management, or similar field
  • 1+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing Data Warehouses using any enterprise ETL tools, experience in Infor Birst a strong plus
  • Expertise in SQL, report development, and transactional table relationships
  • Ability to understand decision-oriented dashboard design and its alignment to the database

Helpful Experience:

  • History of functional and technical requirements gathering for Reporting and Analytics
  • Experience working with AWS storage technologies like S3, redshift, etc
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards with a solid understanding of converting business requirements to a data warehouse design
  • Experience on global BI projects

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71k - $85k. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
