This is a Remote position.
Position Description:
Ardent is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Informatica Analyst to join our data team. The Informatica Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our organization's data through the effective use of Informatica tools and technologies. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in data analysis, Informatica ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data quality management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Data Analysis and Mapping:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements and business rules.
- Analyze source data structures, perform data profiling, and create data mapping documents for ETL processes.
ETL Development and Implementation:
- Design, develop, and optimize Informatica ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into target data repositories.
- Implement data transformations, validations, and cleansing logic to ensure data accuracy and quality.
Data Quality Management:
- Implement data quality rules and controls to monitor and improve the accuracy and completeness of data.
- Identify and rectify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and discrepancies.
Workflow Automation:
- Create and schedule ETL jobs using Informatica PowerCenter or other relevant tools to ensure timely and accurate data processing.
- Implement workflow dependencies and error handling mechanisms to maintain data pipeline reliability.
Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze ETL job performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
- Tune ETL processes to improve data processing speed and efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL workflows, data mappings, transformations, and data lineage.
- Generate reports and dashboards to communicate data quality metrics and ETL process performance.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in data governance initiatives to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Requirements:Â
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Informatica Analyst or similar role, with a minimum of X years working with Informatica ETL tools.
- Strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud for designing and implementing ETL workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation, with experience in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data integration best practices.
- Understanding of data quality management and data profiling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, shell scripting) for automation is a plus.
- Relevant certifications, such as Informatica Certified Specialist, are advantageous.
