The Informatics Analyst III is responsible for executing and analyzing data and outcomes in support of cutting-edge physician and hospital reimbursement methodologies and programs, population health management initiatives, value-based incentive programs, and quality of care measurement & improvement. They are also responsible for providing, data, reports, dashboards, and analyses needed to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Analytical studies could include ROI of CDPHP healthcare outreach activities, comparative effectiveness studies; modeling and forecasting of financial reimbursement strategies and measuring the financial and healthcare quality impact of CDPHP pilot programs and initiatives. The Informatics Analyst III also serves as subject matter expert on analytic tools and supports their ongoing maintenance and effective use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare/Epidemiology, Math/Statistics, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years analytical and/or data analysis experience that includes but not limited to: querying structured data sets, report/dashboard development, evaluation of business process and problems, and feasibility studies required.
- Experience in leading, developing and supporting data analysis projects required.
- Experience in participating as a lead on project teams, coordinating information and analytic development across functional departments required.
- Experience in analytics, including but not limited to statistical, regression and complex data analysis, result documentation and data validation required.
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tool required.
- Experience with databases, SQL-based tools, and statistical software required.
- Experience and familiarity with SAS, SQL, Python, R, or other coding language preferred.
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPC's, RBRVS, UBO4 HCFA 1500, MS-DRG, APR-DRG, APC, APG coding and reimbursement preferred.
- Experience with forecasting, financial and/or predictive modeling tools and techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of Actuarial methods and estimation techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of state, federal and regulatory requirements and provider payment methodologies preferred.
- Healthcare or managed care industry preferred.
- Demonstrated analytic skill strength and ability to think strategically.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects.
- Demonstrated ability in the validation and corroboration of all data analyses and deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to represent department with internal and external customers (including physicians).
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify problems, as well as recommend and/or implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and develop relationships both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment.
Annual salary range: $110,000 - $120,000
CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
