Job Description

Member of Lockheed Martin Government Affairs (LMGA), providing a Hanscom AFB, MA presence in support of LMGA's Air Force/F-35 Team.

The position will be physically located in Billerica, MA, however, the incumbent will report to the LMGA Field Office Director/Acquisition Excellence (AE) Pillar Lead in Dayton, OH.

The AE Pillar is a focal point for Lockheed Martin's (LM) interface with the Air Force's weapon systems acquisition community, with this position's focus being primarily activity originating from Hanscom AFB and in nearby Rome, NY (External Customers).

This position also actively supports execution commitments emanating from Lockheed Martin (LM) operating business areas/units and special projects from corporate headquarters (Internal Customers).

The position requires: an understanding of US government acquisition; program execution experience; budgeting and requirements processes knowledge; familiarity with existing DoD, Joint and Air Force programs; and an ability to develop effective working relationships among both military organizations at Hanscom AFB (and Rome, NY) and the co-located civilian community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain continual liaison at all appropriate levels with External and Internal Customers.

Create/facilitate intimacy necessary to enable successful Internal Customer engagements with External Customers. Use intimacy to shape customer perceptions in support of pursuit and execution of LM business.

Support corporate, operating business area/unit staffs, and other domestic and international LMGA personnel, to establish and achieve domestic and international business objectives, providing specific expertise in DOD, Joint, and USAF matters.

Provide corporate, operating business area/unit staffs, and other domestic and international LMGA personnel, your personal expertise in cyber & networks; electronic systems; or command, control, communication battle management.

Participate as requested in reviews, color teams, etc.

Represent, as required, Lockheed Martin in local area activities including involvement in trade association events and in supporting active and positive relations with the local community as required. Monitor and document the actions and intent of our business competitors.

Exhibit energy, passion, integrity, and persistence in all undertakings.

Travel as necessary to other government/LM facilities to maintain customer contact and consistent messaging and travelling as necessary to support relevant training and business development activities.

Basic Qualifications

-Ability to lead the shaping of new business.

-Demonstrated experience with the Air Force customer including Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and Air Force Research Lab.

-Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

-Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.

-Proven ability to collaborate and influence others.

-Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Desired skills

-Prior work experience at Hanscom AFB, MA.

-Previous business development and customer relations experience.

-Self-starter with proven ability to solve problems.

-Familiarity with a strong professional network within the fields of cyber & networks; electronic systems; or command, control, communication battle management.

-Demonstrated ability to bring closure to tasks/responsibilities.

-Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal to no oversight.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $140,400 - $269,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $161,500 - $304,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
