What Your Job Will Be Like

We are seeking a Information Enterprise Systems Technologist to join our dynamic team.
On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Develop, install, test, administer, and document distributed computing systems, including operating systems, shared components, networking, commercial off-the-shelf application interoperability validation, and cyber security configuration management.
• Supports a wide range of computer hardware, including servers, VMs, file storage subsystems, workstations, and peripherals.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and defines solutions to business problems through reasoned application of information technology.
• Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.

Qualifications We Require

• Bachelor's degree in a computing field (CS, CE, MIS, IA, etc.)
  • OR 8 years of experience working with Windows or Linux desktop operating systems and implementing security configurations for IT equipment in a high security production environment
• Active Q or TS Security clearance required in order to start position.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance, which my require a polygraph test.

Qualifications We Desire

Ideally, we would like to see your background include some of the following:

• Experience with GitLab and agile project management
• A working knowledge of Linux/UNIX OS
• A broad understanding of IT Infrastructure
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Active DOE Q and TS/SCI security clearance.

About Our Team

Department 5631 [Threat Analysis Technologies] is one of five departments in the Cyber Intelligence Research Group and primarily executes work for the Information Operations (IO) program through the cultivation and deployment of ground-breaking cyber capabilities within 5600. IO encompasses multi-disciplinary, high-impact cyber programs, which have decades-long FFRDC-like relationships with their respective United States Government (USG) sponsors. The vision of the IO program is to be the trusted cyber research institution enabling the USG to accomplish critical national security objectives through research, development, and technology transition. The Cyber Intelligence Research group has a highly collaborative management team, which works together to address program, line, and capability requirements, with highly matrixed staff. Areas of emphasis for the group include vulnerability research, reverse engineering, assessments, data analytics, and software development.

Security Clearance

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
