Job Description:

Synaptics' Information Security Group is seeking a talented and highly-motivated individual to serve as an Information Security Analyst. The Senior Analyst leads the team to complete tasks designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's systems and informational assets. Oversees incident response team and forensics efforts for all security-related investigations, including collecting logs, documenting response steps, and collecting critical evidence. Assist in compliance auditing internal systems against baseline configuration requirements and adherence to internal Security Policy. The role requires the analyst to maintain security certifications to demonstrate command of knowledge in the security industry and to keep up to date knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities, exploits, and trends in the security environment and their impact to the IT systems. Assist in coaching and providing oversight of Junior-level analysts. Assists the management team with developing and maintaining information security policies and procedures and tracking compliance throughout the organization. Assists team with designing, documenting, and testing disaster recovery procedures. Work is generally independent of management oversite and collaborative in nature with the rest of the team.
