Information Security Architect
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the overall cyber security strategy and architecture.
- Configuration, management and support of various cyber security programs and systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor, analyze, and investigate cyber security alerts and issues.
- Develop and maintain informational and residual risk analysis reports, as required.
- Perform security risk assessments and conduct security analysis to evaluate and mitigate risks and related issues.
- Create and maintain workflow and processes.
- Assist in technical and programmatic assessments, security engineering strategies, and integration initiatives.
- Implementation of security solutions which are in line with security best practices.
- Provide technical and security guidance and prepare documents that analyze or describe the security functionality of a specific system.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years direct experience in IT/Cyber Security
- An additional 4 years of experience in an IT related field may be substituted lieu of the degree requirement
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- CISSP or other equivalent certification desired
- HIPAA Training Required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required
- 6+ years of demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, administering and supporting IT security systems and programs
- 1+ years in an Information/Cyber Security Architect role
- Extensive understanding of IT security frameworks and Information Security best practices
- Extensive understanding and/or experience with system hardening best practices.
- Solid understanding of vulnerability assessment
- Capable of interpreting task requirements, selecting appropriate methodologies, and carrying out complex tasks to completion with minimum supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Preferred
- Prior/direct experience with DLP, IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, HIPS, Active Directory security, Application Security, or Vulnerability Assessment solutions
- Prior/direct experience with System Administration, network security solutions, vulnerability assessment tools, and the use of tools commonly used to analyze system logs and/or network traffic
