Colgate-Palmolive Information Security department is looking for an Information Security Automation Engineer to join its growing organization. The Information Security team is globally responsible for helping the organization balance risk by establishing policies and procedures which meet Colgate's business needs. As part of this team you will be tasked to develop and engineer groundbreaking security solutions to improve Colgate's overall program, which will be a combination of services, software and custom developed applications. This is an exciting position requiring deep knowledge of both software development and security products.
The Information Security Automation Engineer will work with the Security Engineering and Security Operations teams to gather and understand requirements for various automation use cases.
The Automation engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust automation solutions for those use cases, as well as the accompanying documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
This position has a full remote option with preference in Piscataway, NJ location.
What you will do
- Collaborate with the Security Engineering and Security Operations teams to capture and understand requirements for various automation use cases
- Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation solutions
- Responsible to writingmaintaining documentation related to automation use cases
- Develop, analyze and review code and/or playbooks for automation to tackle problems and improve efficiency
- Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience in IT industry
- At least 2 years automation experience or SOAR solutions
- At least 2 years proficiency using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell
- Experience with SIEM platform content development (query/search development, e.g. Splunk SPL)
- Comfortable with basic/core system administration (Windows and Linux)
- Subject matter expert in Secure design principles.
- Knowledge or experience implementing solutions in public cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of APIs and ability to use them in code
- Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations and take effective action independently
- Knowledge and understanding of networking (OSI, TCP/IP, switching, routing, firewalling, NAT, proxies, IDS/IPS, WAF's, CDN's, SSL/TLS, etc)
- Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies, tools, internal/external systems and design frameworks
- Ability to think with a security mentality
- The successful candidate must have a strong IT background with in-depth knowledge of security standard processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, and/or Computer Science
- CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- Experience in other software development areas Familiarity with other scripting languages (WSH, BASH)
- Understanding of OWASP and secure application development standard methodologies
- Solid understanding of containers and Kubernetes environments
Salary Range $96,640 - $141,435 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
