You will collaborate on an ongoing basis with local and national teams to support detection, triage, incident analysis, containment, remediation and reporting of events/incidents.
You will support reducing risk with programs such as incident response, security awareness, identifying security challenges, and developing creative technical solutions. You will accomplish this while balancing our priorities, new and actual threats, and observing best practices to ensure the availability of information assets.
Responsibilities
  • Investigate and conduct analysis of information security incidents and improve as appropriate in accordance with established incident response processes (detection, triage, incident analysis, remediation and reporting) including assessing scope of incident damage and assisting in the determination of incident severity
  • Conduct highly technical forensic examinations while using repeatable and defensible procedures, ensuring chain of custody throughout the evidence lifecycle.
  • Analyze data produced by the bank's security controls to uncover potentially malicious activity that does not trigger traditional security alerts
  • Monitor and follow-up on information security policy compliance and adherence using various security tools
  • Assist Information Security leadership with the development, collection, and publication of metrics to improve the way we can measure, monitor, and improve our security program posture
  • Participate in activities to promote information security awareness throughout the organization
  • Be a technical security advisor in risk management processes evaluating our security products and processes

Your Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of information security experience
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, Center for Internet Security (CIS), MITRE, and others
  • High level understanding of information security principles, defense in depth, risk management, and incident response
  • Technical expertise in systems administration and security tools and knowledge of security practices and procedures
  • Understanding of modern project management and software development practices such as Agile and Scaled Agile
  • Exposure to cloud technologies a plus (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Industry recognized security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP, AWS, GCIH, GCFE, EnCe, and others are a plus
  • Desire to continuously learn and advance skills
