Job Description

Team: IT

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Information Security Engineer in Canada.

This role is a key technical position focused on strengthening enterprise security across a global, cloud-first environment. You will design, implement, and optimize security controls that protect endpoints, cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications, and sensitive corporate data at scale. Working in a highly distributed organization, you will help build a defense-in-depth security architecture aligned with global compliance standards and modern threat landscapes. The position blends hands-on engineering, security operations, and platform ownership, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will act as a subject matter expert for critical security tools and frameworks, continuously improving detection, prevention, and response capabilities. This is a high-impact role where your work directly strengthens the security posture of a rapidly scaling global platform.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, optimizing configurations, policies, and threat detection rules across macOS, Windows, and cloud environments.
  • Manage and fine-tune security controls across SWG, CASB, and ZTNA solutions while ensuring a seamless and secure end-user experience.
  • Improve SaaS security posture using SSPM tools, addressing configuration drift and collaborating with application owners across enterprise systems.
  • Design and enforce security policies for enterprise browsers, browser extensions, OAuth applications, and web-based access controls.
  • Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across endpoint, cloud, SaaS, and network environments in alignment with global privacy and sovereignty requirements.
  • Operate vulnerability management programs, ensuring timely patching and remediation of endpoints and servers in collaboration with engineering stakeholders.
  • Support secure architecture decisions and contribute to the integration of security tooling across AWS, GCP, Azure, and related cloud platforms.
  • Utilize SIEM tools to analyze security telemetry, investigate threats, and enhance detection and response capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deploy, maintain, and improve enterprise-wide security solutions and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 while translating requirements into actionable technical safeguards.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering roles.
    • Hands-on experience with EDR, SWG, CASB, ZTNA, and DLP security technologies.
    • Strong understanding of security frameworks including MITRE, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and SOC standards.
    • Experience deploying and managing security controls in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
    • Familiarity with SIEM platforms and ability to query and analyze security telemetry data.
    • Experience working with SaaS security tools and enterprise application security governance.
    • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, product, and operations teams.
    • Solid understanding of vulnerability management and patching processes in enterprise environments.
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
    • Self-driven mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, distributed, remote-first organization.
    • CISSP certification is considered a plus.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive total rewards package aligned with experience and role impact.
      • Stock grant opportunities depending on role, location, and employment status.
      • Flexible remote-first work model with optional coworking access.
      • Additional country-specific perks and benefits.
      • Opportunity to work in a global, high-growth, cloud-native technology environment.
      • Inclusive and diverse workplace culture with strong focus on equal opportunity.
      • Access to continuous learning and exposure to cutting-edge security technologies.
      • Strong career growth opportunities within a rapidly scaling global organization.
