Information Security Engineer II, South Bend, IN

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, escalating and reporting network and security vulnerabilities relating to the access of electronic Bank and customer information.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for network security monitoring to include incident response and escalation.
• Provides risk assessment and remediation recommendations.
• Logs monitoring of Bank systems to defect abnormalities and intrusions.
• Runs vulnerability scans across internal and external hosts.
• Coordinates penetration testing and application code reviews.
• Tracks remediation and follow-up of audit and assessments.
• Manages SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) process.
• Keeps management informed of threats and vulnerabilities to Bank environment.
• Serves as backup role for departmental requirements with changes to user access rights.
• Assists with maintaining accurate and current department documentation.
• Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
• Must understand all applicable banking laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Two (2) to three (3) years' experience with direct exposure and use of industry standard security; three (3) to five (5) years IO experience with the Bank.
• Solid background in project coordination and oversight.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION

Bachelors' Degree and/or security certification (CISSP, GSEC, MSCE, CCSP, CompTIA Security +) preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel to all locations as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
