What you'll do:

As a member of the Security Operations team, you will be leading the implementation of industry-leading security technologies, advising product and operation teams on how to securely design, and work closely with WWT's SOC. Our mission is to continuously monitor and improve WWT's security posturewhile preventing, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber security incidents with the aid of both technology and well-defined processes and procedures. This position is highly focused on securing our managed services infrastructure, designs, and architecture.

  • Provide technical design and architecture advice to internal teams on how to securely develop, evaluate, and secure service delivery within WWT managed services infrastructure
  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Coordinates with various teams to ensure security controls and services are configured with the correct posture to support business and customer requirements based onorganization policy and industry best practices
  • Monitor threat information sources and prioritize remediation
  • Apply defense-in-depth strategies to protect the company and its clients, e.g. ensure that every attack vector has multiple ways to be deterred, delayed, denied, detected, and defended
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to infrastructure, networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
  • Perform business process reviews to document risk


We're looking for someone with:
  • BS Degree in MIS, CIS, or Cyber Security or equivalent experience required
  • Security Certifications
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Frameworks e.g. NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS Top 20, MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP Top Ten
  • Demonstrated experience in technical positions required
  • A demonstrated track record of taking ownership of complex initiatives and producing successful outcomes
  • Broad knowledge across several technical domains partnered with extensive knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of experience in one of more of the following:
    • Threat and Vulnerability Management
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Cloud Security
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages (Python preferred)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
