The Information Security Operations Intern will experience the day-to-day of a successful Security Operations team. The Information Security GRC Intern is an entry level, learning position and may be assigned tasks related to audit compliance, identifying organization improvement opportunities, and recommending appropriate security solutions to other team members and management. This individual will assist other team members with ongoing projects to help further team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ongoing projects and InfoSec team initiatives
• Assist with awareness and training efforts
• Participate in Conducting risk assessments
• Participate in enterprise-wide security training and events as needed
• Participate in preparing and/or modifing policy and process documentation

Qualifications

• Exposure to information security, risk assessment or information technology
• Basic knowledge of operating systems
• Basic knowledge of directory services
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a team of professionals on technical and business issues
• Basic understanding of information security standards, concepts, controls, principles and regulations
• The Security Intern must be able to:
  • Understand audit compliance deliverables.
  • Manage multiple task assignments with hard deadlines.
  • Work independently or with other team members having minimal management oversight.
  • Experience or training in technical writing preferred
