Information Systems Analyst
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Information Systems Analyst position is the business systems and process expert within our business units. This position performs end-user process and data quality assessments to ensure compliance and integrity of all documented business processes and procedures. This position also identifies and communicates to management root cause problems and specific solutions. Works with management to implement long term solutions and system enhancements. This position is responsible for database integrity monitoring and system change management processes. Performance and effectiveness of this position are indicated by, but not limited to, the results of end-user process and data quality reviews, and the accuracy of business transactions. Information Systems are defined but not limited to the ERP Business System, CRM, Microsoft Power Apps, Reporting, and customer written business applications software.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly responsible for the business system and its related information systems, including but not limited to end-user compliance, consistency, and accuracy for all business functions; System User Process Reviews; Data Quality Assessments; Process Enhancements; System Change Management; and Testing and Validation.
- Performs quality review assessments to ensure User compliance of established processes within the business system and all related business processes, ensures data quality and integrity, and identifies most efficient use of system capabilities. Provides results to executive and operations management.
- Works directly with Business System Support Analyst in reviewing helpdesk requests, credit memos, and parts stock adjustments to identify User performance trends and enhancement opportunities.
- Develops and employs database monitoring tools to pinpoint exception errors prior to processing and reporting.
- Responsible for the implementation of all system changes, including operating system software patches and upgrades, database uploads, hardware changes and upgrades, developing a scope of work for developers, testing, and validating all changes before going live and coordinate with functional leaders on the implementation.
- Documents and administers all change management documentation, including change management checklists, testing and validation results, software archives, and historical change records utilizing Microsoft Dev Ops.
- Requires staying abreast of emerging technologies and system enhancements to recommend new solutions as opportunities for increased business productivity may be realized.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn all critical roles of each business unit and understand how their roles record and process transactions via best practice procedures.
- Actively participate in various meetings that assist in the gathering or analytical data or extracting meaningful recommendations as directed by Management.
- Participate in other analytical projects and activities as directed by Management.
- Completion of all other duties as required or assigned by Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Accounting or comparable educational degree with 4+ years of appropriate experience
- Experience in an ERP environment and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, strong knowledge and experience with Excel
- Strong communication skills, including oral, written and listening
- Must exhibit detail orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work and secure confidential information
