  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 621 within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver`s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying analytical techniques to plan, design, and implement new or improved information systems to meet business requirements for an organization; 2) Advising others on the merits of proposed or re-engineered system development projects; 3) Serving as a technical specialist for application development, implementation, and maintenance of IT system services/activities; and 4) Gathering, assembling, and analyzing data to translate information and develop IT solutions.

Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour, including call backs to meet mission requirements. Overtime may be required.

Cybersecurity: This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) position in specialty area SYSANALYSIS code 621 and as a condition of employment, incumbents of the position are required to comply with DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program Requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include: *Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV 5-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and: *Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the incumbent and supervisor
