Information Technology Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to the organization under the direction of the IT Director. Primarily responsible for interacting with internal employees by phone, in-person, through chat or the support ticketing system to resolve computer problems related to software and hardware issues to ensure our infrastructure and workflow runs smoothly. What does a Generations Bank IT Support Specialist Duties Do? The responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and installation of devices, equipment, software, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and remediation.
- Answers questions of a general nature; provides step-by-step technical instruction and support; trouble-shoots and resolves problems; and logs issues into the Bank's information technology case system to ensure events are properly reported and resolved within established quality service level guidelines.
- Assists with routine system or user administrative tasks, such as system specification changes or the addition, change, or deletion of employees on the Bank's various systems and networks; ensures necessary documentation is attained and properly authorized for such requests; and originates and maintains system and user files.
- Assist in installing, troubleshooting, and supporting core network infrastructure, including switches and routers, patch panels and network cabling.
- Maintain accurate inventory of computer assets throughout the product lifecycle, including procurement, shipping, deployment, decommissioning, and disposal.
- Provide training and technical assistance to users.
- Maintains basic knowledge and awareness of financial industry technical status and trends.
- Document tickets with applied solution.
This role has a "hybrid" weekly work schedule: 4 days remote, 1 day in-office (NOTE: for orientation purposes, the ITSS will be onsite for their first 2 weeks). On occasion, business needs will dictate:
- Day travel to the 5 Generations branches in south Arkansas (Camden, Junction City, Hampton).
- After-hour duties.
What Are The Requirements?
- Two-year college degree or equivalent experience in a computer related field plus one year of on-the-job work experience.
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Handle support tickets in a timely manner.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial Industry knowledge
- Experience with Intune, Azure/AzureAD.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience in computer maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem resolution
- Knowledge of computer imaging, software installation and support, and implementing standard desktop and laptop solutions
- Proficient in printer installation, configuration, component functions, driver installation, maintenance, and repairs
- Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN network hardware, implementation, and support
- Knowledge of virtual server environments, network folder access, and drive mappings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding customer service

Camden, Arkansas. The city of Camden is located on a bluff overlooking the Ouachita River and is known for its hospitality, unique festivals, historic homes, wildlife, and fishing. Southern Arkansas Tech University is a two-year technical junior college in Camden and four-year colleges within 50 miles offer other educational opportunities.
