Our Information Technology team is committed to empowering Karat users to operate efficiently, securely, and with operational excellence. We partner with all internal teams to ensure each Karateer has the up-to-date tools, systems, and support available.
What you will do
As an I.T. Support Specialist (IT2) at Karat, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of technology services, systems, and users. Being the first line of communication for our internal end users, you will provide solutions to Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 issues with rapid resolution and customer service.
Karat's HQ is based in Seattle, Washington, and this position will require at least three (3) days per week onsite. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Deliver outstanding helpdesk support across the company, ensuring users have what they need to be successful, productive, and happy.
  • Respond to technical issues within SLAs using Jira and Confluence.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues within a variety of technical systems, including Mac and/or Windows machines, mobile devices, video conferencing equipment, etc.
  • Work closely with the Accounting, People, and Talent teams to ensure employees have a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on team procedures and processes, ensuring all key stakeholders have necessary visibility and communication.
  • Coordinate with I.T. and Security on regular system audits in order to help keep SOC 2 status.
  • Deliver on-site technical assistance for hardware and help desk issues at Karat HQ three (3) days per week.

The experience you will bring
  • 2+ years of experience in Information Technology with experience managing macOS and Windows
  • Broad technical depth with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service first mentality and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exposure to an MDM in a mixed technology environment (JAMF preferred)
  • Experience administering Cloud architecture and applications (such as Okta, G Suite, Office 365, etc)
  • Experience with asset management administration
  • Understanding of information security best practices and standards
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume, quick-change environment

Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. This role may be eligible for additional rewards, including commissions, bonuses, and equity.
The base salary pay range across the United States for this role is:
$28.85 - $32.45 USD
