Infrastructure Data Modeler

The Infrastructure Data Modeler is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap.
• Ensure that all integration of functions meet group goals by attending planning meetings between the domain and data governance team.
• Drive the creation of the physical data models derived from logical modeling/mapping activities
• Drive implantation of physical within the data warehouse by working closely with architect and developers within the warehouse.
• Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new process enhancements to the modeling, handover, and implementation phases of the models.
• Work proficiently with modeling tools being used by data governance team, these tools include Erwin Data Modeler and Magic Draw.
• Exhibit knowledge of technology assets within an enterprise infrastructure, how they interact with each other, and basic attributes for each.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Data Modeling for Data Warehouse
• Proficient working with data modeling tools (Erwin Data Modeler / Magic Draw)
• Experience working in technology infrastructure of large complex and global environment
• Demonstrated understanding of Data Management and governance
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
• Experienced in data warehouse environments
• Experienced in RDBMS DB systems, particularly Oracle / MS SQL
• Work in Agile environment, manage project timeline and take ownership of deliveries

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
