Job Description As an experienced Infrastructure Engineering professional, you'll be making decisions of a global and strategic nature that impact our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe. Your expertise in analyzing complex data systems, anticipating problems, and finding ways to mitigate risk, will be key in leading a high-performing team to successfully design and navigate the program roadmap. By incorporating your knowledge of business drivers, you'll affect change and lead development of innovative improvements and world-class practices. Your team will be responsible for driving results and implementing multiple, complex programs that span the breadth of the business, and they'll look to you to provide the technical leadership to move them forward. This Linux System Engineer will also be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems that host proprietary trading, third-party, and open source applications. The main goal for this role is to develop tools and systems to automate and optimize our operational workflow.
What you will do -
  • Release management and performance engineering
  • Automate processes using Shell and Python scripting
  • Deploy, run and monitor all applications
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and plan the necessary changes
  • Effectively collaborating with our traders, developers, and other teams to meet the Firm's technology needs.

Desired Skillset -
  • An undergraduate or an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering or one of the hard sciences
  • 4+ years of python development experience or any scripting experience
  • Must have experience working in larg Linux environments
  • Must have configuration management experience with Ansible, Git, and GitHub
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Podman
  • RPM Package Manager is a major plus
  • Exposure to JFrog Artifactory or device 42 is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend support (including travel) may be required for system upgrades or emergencies
