Infrastructure Engineer

Description

Work is primarily task-based infrastructure setup and maintenance activities

Responsibilities:

• Assists needs analysis by information gathering and performing analysis.
• Document, develop and test processes and procedures for use by Infrastructure, operations and Help desk support units.
• Support infrastructure by fixing problems and making enhancements with the guidance of experienced staff.
• Ability to plan and lead small sized projects with the assistance and guidance of experienced staff.
• Knowledge of various hardware components, operating systems and Commercial off the shelf products in use by infrastructure team.
• Some knowledge of applicable scripting languages for the supported technologies.
• Some knowledge of infrastructure lifecycle and project life cycle principles.
• Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Advances job knowledge to next level by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
• Proactively provide status, raise issues, and communicate necessary information on a regular basis via daily stand-up meetings, one-on-one meetings, and/or impromptu occasions.

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field (preferred) but not required.
• 1-3 years applicable work experience in a related field
• Hands on experience with Azure DevOps is essential for this position.
• Experience Jenkins and Buildmaster (CI/CD).
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform (Infrastructure-as-code).
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Experience with PowerShell, YAML, Git, JSON.
• General experience with VMware and virtualization software.
