Job Description

How you'll make an impact:As a member of Strata's Information Technology Team, our Infrastructure Engineer, is responsible for completing operational tasks, projects, problem/change tickets, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in support of our SaaS applications. This team is responsible for ensuring our enterprise compute environment is performing efficiently and securely, while also ensuring we can meet our client SLAs.
  • Work as a member of a team of infrastructure engineers and system administrators, that are focused on maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Strata's compute environment.
  • Identify potential technologies and approaches to address needs within the infrastructure and evaluate their applicability and fit.
  • Be an escalation point for other technical teams and provide hands-on expertise.
  • Participate in compliance and regulatory audits.
  • Work closely with IT Security team to ensure solutions are secure and meet compliance requirements.
  • Participate in the planning, installation, and management of hardware, operating systems, applicable software applications, and hypervisors
  • Assist with the management of Co-located datacenters.
What we're looking for:
  • 3-5 years, Enterprise level VMware Experiences (preferably in a Saas Hosting environment or Large/Enterprise)
  • 3-5 years implementation and maintaining a physical and virtual infrastructure
  • 1-2+ years, functional knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • 3-5 years, Microsoft Infrastructure technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy)
  • Experience managing Storage and Storage Networking (Pure, AWS S3, EMC)
  • Automation/configuration management using Ansible, Terraform, or Salt.
  • Experience with multiple Linux distributions (Ubuntu/Debian and CentOS) a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work on project teams and across departments.
  • Have previously worked in regulated industries with regulatory requirements such as SOX, HIPAA, PCI, etc.
  • Ability to leverage Agile methodology to plan and manage workload.
  • Ability to be travel to our datacenters, including weekly onsite visits to our datacenter located near Oak Brook, IL.
