This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Core) in India.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, automation, and operation of large-scale, cloud-agnostic infrastructure powering mission-critical systems across distributed environments. You will work in a highly collaborative engineering setting focused on scalability, resilience, and performance of core platforms. The role involves building and maintaining infrastructure provisioning systems, improving CI/CD pipelines, and supporting containerized workloads in production. You will engage closely with product and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and drive architectural improvements. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will directly influence system reliability and developer productivity. You will also deepen your skills in cloud-native technologies, networking, and distributed systems while working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Accountabilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure systems supporting cloud-agnostic and distributed platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Build and improve infrastructure automation and provisioning workflows using modern IaC and configuration management tools.
- Support and evolve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery across engineering teams.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads, including production environments and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify infrastructure pain points and implement architectural improvements for scalability and resilience.
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, and incident response processes to ensure system stability and rapid recovery.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software development with strong exposure to production systems.
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments, ideally including production or large-scale cluster operations.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Golang.
- Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, container technologies, and networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, TLS).
- Experience with cloud environments and distributed systems concepts; knowledge of service mesh or BGP is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication in collaborative engineering teams.
