ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear's Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for managing infrastructure production resources using Agile methodologies, providing mentoring, administration, and support service to your team(s) and developing and maintaining an effective technology stack from a full lifecycle perspective. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Manage and mentor a team or teams of up to twelve reports of infrastructure engineers and work with Product Owner(s) to serve as a point of escalation for customers and team members for troubleshooting of technical issues.
- Work with the stakeholders and the Product Owner to determine priorities for upcoming work to balance delivering capabilities for infrastructures customers and the need to avoid technical debt.
- Work with your team, Product Owners, and other technology leaders to identify and remediate existing technical debt across the company.
- Manage vendors relationships to provide network, security, engineering, and support systems. Manage escalations to both vendors and internal support organizations for timely recovery of systems and services.
- Leverage the team and supporting teams to provide global 24×7 production support for storage, compute, and networking environments.
- Define and gather metrics to measure the overall availability and stability of the global infrastructure that your teams are responsible for.
- Provide regular coaching to individuals and review performance and effectiveness of engineering teams and services.
- Plan, assemble and track annual budgets for corporate infrastructure systems.
- Participate in financial performance and forecasting.
- Contribute toward the development of standard operating procedures in all areas of influence. Continue to find improvements efficiency and quality.
- Ensure that all areas of infrastructure activities and processes follow SOX, PCI and similar controls.

- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret documents. Capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing conclusions at a level appropriate for the function.
- Working knowledge and proven platform experience in On Premise and Cloud capabilities.
- Professional, effective written and verbal communication skills. Understands the concept of communicating early and often and conducts oneself accordingly.
