Job Description

This position is an opening on the Nokia Infrastructure Team in Westford, MA supporting local datacenter, labs, and research and development environments. Candidate must be able to work closely with other individuals on a small team, which supports other Nokia employees that are either on site, or spread throughout locations around the world, in different time zones. Candidate must also be able to adapt to situations that may arise on a day to day basis, while getting pulled in different directions.

Job Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and install networking equipment in multiple areas of the building
  • Unbox, rack & stack, cable
  • Install & configure
• Support/manage all local business unit network infrastructure
• Assist in improving the core routing between growing SW lab expansion
• Assist in local user desktop network/IT issues
• Maintain connectivity of the private network that connects the existing sites of the BU
• Respond to local user's general IT requests

Job Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
• Extensive knowledge of some kind of Linux scripting
  • Shell scripts
  • Python
  • Ansible
  • Perl
• Knowledge of networking concepts
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues
• Good communications skills
• Must be able to lift 50lbs of equipment
