Reports to the Manager of Vulnerability Management in Sabre's Risk and Security organization. The ideal candidate has experience in Infrastructure/Network Vulnerability Management with some background in network security operations and is looking for a continued growth opportunity.

Under general direction, the Infrastructure Vulnerability Management Specialist will:
  • Participate in all aspects of the Vulnerability Management program.
  • Be a SME for Infrastructure Scanning & Vulnerability Management using Qualys/Archer.
  • Oversee infrastructure vulnerability technical assessments (scanning, system hardening, penetration testing) and facilitate risk-based assessments of vulnerabilities and their remediation.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the infrastructure vulnerability management program initiatives, process and technology integration, and technical & risk-based assessments.
  • Maintain Sabre infrastructure vulnerability management policy and standards in partnership with the Risk & Security organization, operations teams, and Business Unit system owners.
  • Oversee vulnerability analysis in partnership with the Cyber Threat Management team on zero-day announcements, managing communications, and ensuring timely remediation.


Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree and/or 7-10 years of equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of experience as an information security specialist performing vulnerability testing and assessment, vulnerability management and remediation/mitigation consulting, audit remediation support, and implementing infrastructure-based security controls. Minimum 3 years related experience in network security operations. Minimum 3 years' experience in the secure design, implementation, and management of information systems.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, critical thinker, who is a continuous learner and has the following characteristics and experience:
  • Strong experience in Qualys appliance and Cloud Agent scanning, Policy Scans (hardening based on CIS Benchmark standards), Qualys VMDR, Vulnerability risk ranking
  • Strong infrastructure and network security background, primarily in Windows and Linux systems/VMs running in Google and AWS cloud environments
  • Experience in ServiceNow CMDB (Vulnerability Management, CSAM, ITIL, Ticketing, Change Management, Infrastructure inventory management)
  • Demonstrated success in network security and Infrastructure Vulnerability Management within global enterprise environments


Additional experience:
  • Familiarity with RSA Archer vulnerability modules, and Rally (Agile Project Management)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure penetration testing with team resources or third-party vendors
  • One or more of the following professional certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP, or SANS or equivalent
  • Ability to handle multiple project assignments, reprioritize short and long-term project work, and follow through tasks to completion
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communications skills
  • Attention to detail with flexibility in addressing changing requirements.
