Innovation Engineer - TS/SCI
KBR has an opportunity for an Innovation Engineer to help transition new capabilities into operations in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will:
- Assist in developing enterprise architecture and technology development roadmaps
- Facilitate and support transition of innovative applications and tools into operational environments
- Plan and facilitate technical reviews and assessments of development and readiness activities; coordinate recommendations with government stakeholders
- Review, track and communicate project progress to senior government leadership and industry partners
- Collect, develop inputs, coordinates and submits to the government proposed responses to actions and taskers, sometimes on short notice
- Develop assessments and products for a variety of audiences, conveys information in crisp, articulate manner to Government leadership
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly
- Experienced, innovative, and highly motivated Systems Engineer specializing in Research and Development (R&D) analysis, testing, tailored planning, and execution
- Experience with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
- Knowledge of mission capabilities and products; familiar with GEOINT and SIGINT overall space and ground architecture
- Skilled at migrating new capabilities into an enterprise environment while ensuring approaches maintain operational effectiveness of legacy systems
- Strong technical leadership in evaluating and recommending courses of action on activities impacting data collection, processing and dissemination, testing, and infrastructure systems engineering
- Polished communicator and proven collaborator; demonstrated ability to coordinate across all levels of government to transition R&D activities to an enterprise environment
- Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence; familiar with AGILE development, cloud technologies
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or relevant field
- 9+ years' technical experience
