Grow your career as an Inside Group Sales Coordinator within ALG Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role you will be focused on advancing the sales process in a fast-paced environment to ensure we are meeting our customers' needs and maximizing our revenue potential. The Inside Group Sales Coordinator plays an important role in quoting groups and works with the Group Sales Team to generate pricing information prior to submitting proposals to prospective customers. As the frontline of Group Sales Support, you will be responsible for understanding customers' needs and reviewing open opportunities in the sales pipeline. Additionally, there are great career growth opportunities to move into our Group Account team or into more specialized positions within our Group Operations and Service teams.

A successful Inside Group Sales Coordinator will:

  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for Group Sales Consultants and generate pricing information in a professional manner to help secure the sale
  • Meet quoting goals and expectations as established by leadership
  • Manage new and active leads through CRM
  • Confirm rates and inventory with suppliers
  • Manage and answer incoming emails via the group communication channels as needed and archive data on various platforms
  • Provide assistance and backup to team members within the Group Sales team
  • Build loyalty and maintain strong relationships with customers, agencies, and suppliers
  • Attend training sessions to build or maintain product knowledge, including processes and terms and conditions
  • Take pride and strive for excellence in responding same day to all communications and phone calls
  • Identify opportunities to streamline our process and group products
  • Align closely with teammates to problem solve and support each other's workload

A successful Inside Group Sales Coordinator will have:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, or two (2) plus years of relevant experience in travel, group sales, contract writing/interpretation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working in Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed established quoting targets
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Good time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of the groups workflow process
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to contribute to results driven and team oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently in a home-office environment free of distractions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs
  • Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Sales - Knowledge of principles and methods for selling products and services including sales techniques and sales control systems
  • Negotiation - Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences for a positive out come
  • Persuasion - Persuading others to change their minds or behavior
  • Learning from Past Experience - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times
