SUMMARY

Sells and supports the sale of pumps to customers and distributors, providing cordial, timely and accurate application and quotation assistance. Liases with engineering department on technical application isues. This position will be focused primarily in the Mining and Rental Pump Markets.

SALARY - $65,000 - $75,000 DOE

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related Inside Sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must
  • Mining knowledge is preferable

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answers customers questions concerning correct selection of Cornell equipment. Requires telephone work with excellent customer satisfaction and communication skills.
  • Write and input general sales quotes and sales orders.
  • Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders.
  • Acquire, interpret, apply technical pump information (BOM, Curves, Dimensions).
  • Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Provides product demos (cutaways/display pumps) to qualified customers on request.
  • Project Management of Large Projects as required
  • Maintain productive and professional rapport with Cornell dealerships and their personnel; maintain productive and professional rapport with fellow Cornell employees.
  • Performs prospective dealer visits (arrange travel, perform visits, submit expenses), represent Cornell at dealer conducted functions, represent Cornell at tradeshow and other marketing functions.
  • Travels to customer's locations and trade shows as required.
