Sunbelt Supply is a leading specialty industrial supplier of pipe, valves, fittings and related products and a provider of technical solutions to the energy and industrial sectors. Privately held company located Pasadena, Texas.

Summary of Responsibilities

Develops customer relationships by identifying customer needs, informing customers about the company's products or services, providing solutions and recommending new and better products. Handles customer requests and issues via telephone, fax or email. Coordinates with the outside sales team and other departments to ensure that customers receive the best service possibleRespond to customer order and quotation requests received via outside salespersons, telephone, e-mail, written, and faxed correspondence.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Provides pricing and delivery information.

• Responsible for entire order processing which includes assigning, reviewing, approving and distributing customer order documents to all appropriate departments.
• Responds to internal and external inquires in a timely manner ensuring all requests have been handled and completed daily.

• Performs follow-up to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains strong working relationships with Customers and Vendors.
• Resolves customer service issues. Tracks open sales orders.

• Various duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry product knowledge.
• HS Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Good written and verbal/oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office software and Adobe.
• Self-driven with a positive attitude and demeanor.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently.

Problem Complexity

• Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

Autonomy

• Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.

Environmental Job Requirements

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
